What the score actually measures
Research Strength summarizes how complete, current, and internally consistent the evidence is for the exact market being analyzed. It reflects the quality of the research case, not a promise that the selection will win.
A high score can still lose. A lower score can still win. The purpose of the scale is to make the quality of the available research easier to compare.
Why price is separate
The same selection can be attractive at one price and unattractive at another. That is why HRDE keeps Research Strength separate from Value Signal and fair-price work.
When a better number appears elsewhere, the research thesis may be unchanged while the value changes materially.
What to check before acting
Recheck lineups, injuries, weather, starting roles, contract rules, and current price close to the event. A score is only as current as the evidence behind it.
- Confirm the exact line and side.
- Compare the current price with the number originally analyzed.
- Refresh the analysis after meaningful news or market movement.
